The Coordinating Council for Independent Living (CCIL) has been serving West Virginian’s with Developmental Disabilities (DD) since 1980 through a variety of programs designed to assist in developing and maintaining an independent lifestyle.
West Virginia’s Choice adheres to the philosophy that all persons have an inherent right to live as independently as possible and strives to empower individuals to remain in their own home and community rather than entering a nursing home.

We are taking steps to ensure both our clients and employees are staying safe through the Coronavirus (Covid-19 pandemic). These steps include providing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to each client and employee. We have been able to combine resources to procure a large amount of masks and gloves to meet our immediate needs. Procurement of PPE is, of course, a continuing process. We continue to monitor Covid-19 developments and follow CDC recommendations in order to communicate and coordinate the proper steps to ensure the safety of those in our care and our employees. Health and safety is always a priority; and we are always available for your concerns or questions.
Thank you for vaccinating to make our team stronger. Although the raffle has come to an end, the COVID-19 Vaccination Bonus of $120 for proof of becoming fully vaccinated remains in effect. The FDA recently approved the Pfizer vaccine. Anyone who has hesitated to get the vaccine until such approval has been granted can now move forward and vaccinate.
